Rupat Utara District is known for its water tourism potential with a very beautiful Pasir Beach. One of them is Tanjung Lapin Beach which is an object in the development of Bengkalis Regency Beach tourism. Based on its location, this beach stretches and faces directly onto the Strait of Malacca Malaysia, making it a hidden paradise in the Strait of Malacca. Historically, this beach used to have different names according to the naming of local villagers, namely Tanjung Lapin Beach, Tanjung Rhu Beach and Tanjung Punak Beach.
Pesona Tanjung Lapin Beach is a mainstay tourist attraction for the Bengkalis Regency Government, of course if supported by good and adequate infrastructure, it can make this tourist destination better known to foreign countries. The availability of good infrastructure is an important component in tourism development, among the supporting infrastructure for tourism are physical facilities for water supply, electricity, waste disposal, transportation and other services. The Pesona Tanjung Lapin Beach area is known to have a sloping, smooth and white beach, with a beach length of 17 km with a stretch of beach of 300 meters from the shore. This beach has stable waves, no more than one meter. In addition, usually in this coastal area every year there is a beach party and Jong boat race, spinning tops, kites, and many more events that are enlivened at this party as a mainstay tourist spot for the local community.
Rupat Island itself is one of the 16 main islands in Bengkalis Regency, Riau, which has extraordinary tourism potential so that it was designated as a National Tourism Strategic Area through Government Regulation Number 50 of 2011. After almost more than a decade of slot gacor being designated as a strategic area, tourism development on Rupat Island has shown significant growth since the construction of the main road there began.
Geographically, Rupat Island is one of the 16 main islands in Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province, where the beach with a stretch of white sand stretching from Teluk Rhu village, Tanjung Samak (North Rupat) to Sungai Cingam (Rupat) is often also referred to as the island of hope by the local community. Rupat Island has an area of 1,524 km2 and consists of 2 sub-districts, namely Rupat and North Rupat.
Tanjung Lapin Beach is very worthy to be used as a tourist destination that can be visited by the general public. The hope is of course that in the future this beach can be better known by external parties to attract various tourists in the international arena because of its strategic location in the Strait of Malacca.
