Selong Belanak Beach, a Beach with Two Types of Waves – Just like most beaches on Sumbawa Island, Selong Belanak Beach also has a long coastline.
If you think the beautiful scenery in Sumbawa is only in Gili Trawangan, maybe you haven’t been to this one place. Its name is Selong Belanak Beach. This beach located in the south of Lombok, central part of West Nusa Tenggara Province is famous for its clear water and soft sand.
Located about 60 kilometers south of the center of Mataram City and passing through steep and winding roads, the journey to this beach will pass through Mangkung Village. After that, we will arrive at the entrance to Selong Village – where the hidden paradise is located.
Similar to most beaches on Sumbawa Island, Selong Belanak Beach also has a long coastline. What is interesting about this beach is the underwater part that has a sandy contour up to 15 meters from the shoreline. The view of the clear blue sea water and the soft white sand looks more perfect with the green hills surrounding the beach. Take off your shoes and walk around the beach. You will feel the softness of the white sand on this beach .
Another interesting thing about Selong Belanak Beach is the two types of waves it has. The western part of the beach has big waves, while the other part of the waves that come are not too big. The difference in waves is widely used by tourists (both foreign and local) for surfing.
At the back of the beach, there are rows of restaurants that provide various culinary specialties of the sea. Satisfy your hunger with various interesting menus served at relatively affordable prices. In addition, for visitors who want to spend more time on this beach, the beach manager also provides lodging facilities.
